Stress is often the result of the individual believing that he/she does not have the abilities to handle the stressor given his or her perception of it. It is critical to learn how to reduce one’s stress, as stress is often the precursor to many illnesses including mental illness, cancer, arthritis and heart disease for example.

In our Stress Reduction program, which includes individual and group therapy, we incorporate both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness to help with the individual’s perception of and, ultimately, coping with the stressor.
