Boys, we’re not getting any younger. One day you look into the mirror and wow, how did that happen? Where did my six pack go? Why does it take me 10 minutes to stand up straight? Why do my knees and shoulders creek? What happened to my 300yd drive? Why am I sore for 2 days after that golf/hockey/baseball game?
It’s called aging my friends. Unfortunately it happens to all of us.
Well, if you want to prolong that youthful appearance and keep that pep in your step for just a few more years? If you want to start feeling good again when you get out of bed in the morning? It’s all possible!
When you were 25, staying up late, getting up early, burning the candle at both ends and feeling great, your body used to produce certain substances that kept you young. After that, it starts to deteriorate rapidly. You have to do a little to maintain that and get it back. And it really doesn’t take that long.
For those of you that know me, you also know that I am not an advocate of the gym. I am not an advocate of personal trainers (I know I am shooting myself in the foot). I have always believed people can implement an exercise regime in the comfort of their own home with the use of just their own body weight. Doing a series of simple exercises for 20 to 30 minutes/day is more than enough to surpass the fitness levels of most gym rats.
These are my Top 10 Exercises that will keep you healthy fit.
1) Planks
2) Superman
3) Push-ups
4) Reverse push-ups
5) Sit-ups
6) Single leg squats
7) Lunges
8) Step-ups
9) Squat and touch
10) Hopping
Everyone needs to be able to do these simple exercises in order to maintain general health. In order to build the strength to relieve those aches and pains and be able to enjoy the activities we used to enjoy. Remember, if you don’t have 20-to 30-minutes a day for yourself, you don’t deserve to be healthy. So stop complaining. Stop asking the doctors for Celebrex. You have to take responsibility for your aches and pains because most of them come from your own weakness.
